It instituted the rigid 9-to-5 schedule, severed us from the natural rhythms of the earth, and trapped us in a cycle of endless consumption and throwaway culture. In this dying paradigm, humans were reduced to specialized drones, serving a massive, centralized monolith that suppressed alternative technologies and spiritual purpose in the name of resource control.

But the mathematics of empires dictate that they all eventually overextend and collapse under their own weight.
