Wulpurgis Lore 4
In the land of the Norse,
The seasons do not flow like a river,
But are divided into two, Winter and summer,
Now is a shifting of energies,
The unstable energies of change.
No longer is it winter,
But summer has yet to arrive,
This is a border state,
A time between a time.
This time of year is known
For witches and wizards,
For they live in these border states,
Focusing on change and transformation.
Seidh, a form of Norse magick,
Is done in a trance state,
An altered consciousness,
Common in border states,
In meditation, magick, pain,
And near death experiences.
Battle, a time of life and death,
Is also a border state,
A powerful time for spells,
As fight or flight takes hold.
Sex, too, is a border state,
A tool for seidh and magick,
Arousal a border state itself,
Freyja, always in this state,
Is a goddess of fire,
The energy of change.
Mortal humans, on the other hand,
Are like ice,
Stagnant and unchanging,
But through devotion to the gods,
We can become more divine,
Our consciousness rising,
Our magick and life force increasing,
Bringing us closer to the deities.
But negativity drags us down,
Bad habits and negative influences,
Sucking our spiritual energy,
Reducing our fire,
So it is important to shield ourselves,
And maintain a daily spiritual practice,
To stay on the path to enlightenment,
And never lose sight of the gods and goddesses.
Wulpurgis Lore 3
The changing of the seasons
Brings a time of instability
Winter fades and summer grows
A time between, a border state
Witches and wizards thrive
In this time of transformation
Seidh magick is done
Through altered states of consciousness
In battle and in sex
In workouts and in rituals
Border states are fire
Life force energy, changing and transforming
By attuning to the cycle of the seasons
We increase our own life force and magick
Moving closer to the divine
We add divinity to our soul
Rising our consciousness frequency
We access greater knowledge and wisdom
And improve our spiritual luck
Becoming like the gods and goddesses
Shield your energies from negativity
And maintain a higher state of consciousness
Through daily spiritual practices
Enlightenment is an ongoing quest
Use magick to transform the self
And stay closer to the level of the gods
In this border state of change
We embrace the fire within.
Wulpurgis Lore 2
In Norse mythology and spirituality, the seasons are divided into two: winter and summer. The time between these two seasons is a time of change and transformation, known as a “border state”. This time of year is traditionally associated with witches and wizards, who use their focus on border states to bring about change and transformation. Seidh, a form of Norse witchcraft, is often performed in a trance state, which is an altered state of consciousness. Battle, sex, and other activities can also be considered border states and can be used as tools for practicing seidh and other forms of magick.
Fire is the energy of change, and the goddess Freyja is associated with fire. By attuning ourselves to the natural cycle of the seasons and practicing devotional rituals to the gods and goddesses, we can increase our own life force and magickal abilities. It is important to maintain a positive spiritual state through daily practices and limiting negative influences in order to make spiritual progress and become closer to the gods and goddesses. Negative thinking, negative energy, unhealthy habits, and lack of faith can all reduce our spiritual energy and pull us away from the spiritual path. It is important to learn how to shield ourselves against these negative influences and maintain a regular daily practice to keep our spiritual energy strong. By increasing our personal consciousness frequency and rising to a higher state of consciousness, we can attract the interest of the gods and goddesses and become closer to them.
