Odin Poem 3
Odin, mighty god of war
Ruler of Asgard, high above
With your golden-feathered Raven
You watch over us with love
Your wisdom is unmatched
In all the nine realms of Yggdrasil
Your spear, Gungnir, never misses
Your foes, always at a kill
With your mighty steed, Sleipnir
Eight-legged and swift as the wind
You ride across the battlefield
Leaving destruction in your wake, my friend
Odin, Allfather of the gods
We praise your name with pride
Your strength and courage inspire us
As we fight, side by side
So let us raise a horn of mead
To the greatest of the gods
Hail to Odin, forever more
May his legend never fade.
Odin Poem 2
The mighty god Odin,
Sits upon his throne,
His piercing gaze,
Sees all that is known.
With his spear in hand,
And his loyal ravens by his side,
He watches over the nine realms,
And guides them with his wisdom and might.
Odin, the Allfather,
King of the Norse gods,
His wisdom is unmatched,
His power, absolute.
He is the god of war,
And the god of death,
But he is also the god of poetry,
And the patron of skalds.
Odin, we honor you,
With this poem we speak,
With the Viking spirit at our peak.
May you continue to guide us,
Through battles and strife,
For you are the god,
Of wisdom, war, and life.
Hail to Odin,
King of the Norse gods,
May your power and wisdom,
Forever be ours.
Odin Poem
Odin, father of gods
All-seeing, wise and strong
Hanged from Yggdrasil’s tree
Gaining knowledge for us all
Ruler of Valhalla’s hall
Warrior’s god, and shaman’s guide
With your ravens at your side
You grant victory in battle
Giver of inspiration
To poets, artists, and kings
Your runes hold power and mystery
And your spear never misses its mark
Odin, lord of the slain
We honor you and your name
May your wisdom never fade
And your kingdom never fall.
Yggdrasil Poem
Hail Yggdrasil!
You are the world tree, the center of all things,
The axis mundi, the cosmic pillar,
Your roots reach deep into the underworld,
Your branches stretch high into the heavens.
You are the link between the nine worlds,
The home of the Norns, the fates of the gods,
You are the source of all knowledge,
The wellspring of wisdom and understanding.
You are the guardian of the gods,
The protector of the world,
You stand tall and strong,
A beacon of hope and light in the darkness.
Hail Yggdrasil, the mighty tree of life,
We offer you our reverence and praise,
For you are the source of all things,
And we are forever in your debt.
Thor Poem 3
Hail Thor, son of Odin, mighty god of thunder,
With your hammer Mjolnir, you strike down your foes,
From the realms of Asgard, you defend Midgard,
Your strength and bravery are unmatched.
Hail Thor, fierce warrior and protector,
We sing your praises and offer our praise,
For you are the guardian of the nine realms,
And the guardian of our hearts.
May your hammer never lose its power,
And may your strength never falter,
Hail Thor, our mighty god,
Forever and always, we are yours to command.
Traditions
The ancient Norsemen had their own rich traditions,
Passed down through the ages, from generation to generation.
They honored their gods and goddesses,
And celebrated the cycles of the seasons and the moon.
They feasted and drank, they sang and they danced,
They told stories and shared their wisdom.
They held contests of strength and skill,
And competed with honor and dignity.
But in these modern times, some seek to destroy traditions,
To rid the world of the old ways and customs.
They claim that traditions are exclusive and outdated,
But they are mistaken, for traditions are the heritage of all humanity.
Traditions give us a sense of purpose and belonging,
They help us bond and find common ground.
Without traditions, the world grows cold and discordant,
And civilizations may crumble and fall.
So let us embrace our traditions,
And share them with others, without fear or hesitation.
Let us honor our heritage and our ancestors,
And keep the flame of tradition burning bright.
True Vikings Avoid Politics! The Viking Spirit is One of Freedom For All!
In the dark days of yore, when the Norsemen roamed the lands,
They sought not to harm, but to explore and to trade.
Their hearts were full of love and acceptance,
For all people, no matter their differences in views.
But in these modern times, people dwell on political stuff,
And it brings them only anger and obsession.
No matter the stance, it only breeds hate in the world.
Those who claim to want peace, only create intolerance.
True spirituality brings love and tolerance,
For all people, no matter their beliefs.
To overcome hate, we must love diversity,
And share our ideas without greed or possessiveness.
The Vikings were not hateful or intolerant,
They sought treasures, not to kill or harm.
They loved to trade and adopt new ideas,
And to experience the world and its cultures.
They also loved women of all lands and ethnicities,
And took them as sex slaves, to love and cherish.
They were not racist or xenophobic,
But stood up for their freedoms and their tribe.
And so, let us follow the example of our ancestors,
And focus on spiritual love and acceptance.
Let us overcome hatred and intolerance,
And build a world of peace and harmony.
About Heathenism 2
Heathenism, a religion of old
Honoring the Norse gods and goddesses bold
The same deities the Vikings did adore
A path open to those who feel a connection to their lore
To follow Heathenism, one must seek within
For the mind knows what is nearest the heart
Each person their own judge, their own kin
Finding their own way to worship and chart
The gods and goddesses of Norse lore
Are many and varied, each with their own domain
Odin, Thor, and Freya are just a few more
And each person may choose their own deity to claim
Heathenism is a path of individuality
No one way to practice, no set beliefs to follow
But all who walk this path are united in their loyalty
To the ancient gods and goddesses, their stories and their hollow
So if you feel a connection to the gods of old
If the stories of the Vikings speak to your soul
Then join the ranks of Heathens, a path to behold
And let the gods and goddesses guide you on your journey whole.

We honor the gods of old and more

Asatru and Vanatru, Odinism and Theodism too
All variations of Heathenism, each with their own view

Magick is also a part of our belief
Runes and seidr are the tools we use to achieve
We practice our faith with heart and mind
And each person is their own judge, as Havamal reminds
Heathenism is a religion that is open and free
To anyone who feels a connection to the gods of the sea
We honor our ancestors and uphold their legacy
In the old ways of the Norse and Anglo-Saxon,
Heathenism is our destiny.
Wulpurgis Lore 4
In the land of the Norse,
The seasons do not flow like a river,
But are divided into two, Winter and summer,
Now is a shifting of energies,
The unstable energies of change.
No longer is it winter,
But summer has yet to arrive,
This is a border state,
A time between a time.
This time of year is known
For witches and wizards,
For they live in these border states,
Focusing on change and transformation.
Seidh, a form of Norse magick,
Is done in a trance state,
An altered consciousness,
Common in border states,
In meditation, magick, pain,
And near death experiences.
Battle, a time of life and death,
Is also a border state,
A powerful time for spells,
As fight or flight takes hold.
Sex, too, is a border state,
A tool for seidh and magick,
Arousal a border state itself,
Freyja, always in this state,
Is a goddess of fire,
The energy of change.
Mortal humans, on the other hand,
Are like ice,
Stagnant and unchanging,
But through devotion to the gods,
We can become more divine,
Our consciousness rising,
Our magick and life force increasing,
Bringing us closer to the deities.
But negativity drags us down,
Bad habits and negative influences,
Sucking our spiritual energy,
Reducing our fire,
So it is important to shield ourselves,
And maintain a daily spiritual practice,
To stay on the path to enlightenment,
And never lose sight of the gods and goddesses.
