Wulpurgis Lore

The Norse divide the seasons into two: winter and summer. The current time, between winter and summer, is a shifting of energies, a time of change and transformation. This time of year is traditionally associated with witches and wizards, who are focused on bringing about change and transformation. Seidh, a form of Norse witchcraft, is often performed in a trance state, which is an altered state of consciousness. Sex and battle are also border states, and can be used as tools for practicing seidh and other forms of magick. Fire is the energy of change, and the goddess Freyja is associated with fire. By attuning ourselves to the natural cycle of the seasons and practicing devotional rituals to the gods and goddesses, we can increase our own life force and magickal abilities. It is important to maintain a positive spiritual state through daily practices and limiting negative influences in order to make spiritual progress and become closer to the gods and goddesses.
